"Save on Building, Find a Supplier."

It's not written anywhere that building your dream house or commercial building should come with any easy.
However when you start on your construction project, the least one needs to listen to are stories like"Boss the material is of poor quality and may affect your building in the near future" or "Boss, material could have stolen".
All these "stories" are no good news to a person spending his hard work for money on a project that involves building.
Once you have come to a DECISION to start on your construction project, its important to identify a one supplier with capacity to supply at least 90% of the building materials.
Of course price considerations should be done before you zero in to who should be your supplier.
A supplier with capacity to supply 90% of your building materials presumably equally has capacity to give you materials a phone-call away on credit, credit purchases.
Building is needs a considerable sum of cash which at times may not be available, so you may need a supplier that will give you materials and you pay him the next week.
As a site owner, it gives more confidence to you about quality and quantity once you have a single. There would ideally not be any business person ready to loose trust of a worthwhile buyer bringing in hundreds of millions. This good "fear" by the supplier keeps the site owner on a safe side when it comes to issues of quality and quantity.

Not having a single supplier might cost you twice for even a substandard building, that's loosing money twice.
In my local language, they would say "nokufa kabili ka amakala" loosely translated as "dying twice like charcoal". Charcoal is burnt while processing but again its subjected to fire for cooking which means its subjected to fire twice.
On the other hand, transport costs may be minimized. Your favorite supplier should be one located close to the construction site however quality and capacity to supply on credit should not be comprised to just save on transport costs.
In most cases, big suppliers offer free transport to their customers or at least subsidize by offering a 50% off on transport costs or even a better offer depending on how you negotiate.

Start Building Now.

"The door handle is the handshake of a commitment to building" - NT

Its a dream of every right thinking man to put a roof over his family but that doesn't mean a woman shouldn't think of having her own.

Building has always been an uphill task for every person, it has never been easy especially as some people prefer investment in things whose rate of cumulative returns come in after a short period of time.

Most importantly when it comes to building, it is to START. Of course, there should be a plan in all this as it creates a better flow of work.
The lack of resources should never be a limiting factor to kick start your dream of owning a house.

Every month delayed to start pushes far the right timing of having your own property. If the Land is secured and an estimate of how much is to be spent in place, JUST START.

The long ago saying, "one by one makes a bundle" applies so much to building. Lack of all the money to buy building materials should never be something to hold you back to START.

START today and before you know it, you will be roofing then before long, a house warming party will be the next.

"its just a question of commitment to build."
